Periodontal Disease Will Not Go Away by Itself

Taking action early is the best way to keep your gums healthy. Gum disease can often be managed with techniques like scaling and root planning, which remove harmful plaque and tartar. If ignored, it might progress to the point where surgery is needed to save your teeth. At New You Dental Center, we focus on early intervention and effective treatment to keep your smile bright and healthy. Our experienced team is ready to address your concerns and provide the care you need.

To determine if you have gum disease, assess its severity, and recommend the appropriate treatment, our periodontist will:

  • Review your medical history
  • Examine your month to look for plaque and check for bleeding.
  • Measure the pocket depth
  • Take dental X-rays

If you’re experiencing any of these symptoms, it’s important to see a specialist. Periodontists have advanced training in diagnosing and treating gum disease. After dental school, they complete an additional two to three years of focused education in gum tissue care and related conditions. This specialized training allows them to manage complex gum issues with precision and provide the best solutions for your oral health. By visiting a periodontist, you receive expert care that addresses both your immediate needs and long-term gum health

Will Insurance Cover My Periodontal Treatment?

Our insurance coordinator will check if periodontal treatment will be covered fully by your insurance. If your treatment is not fully covered by insurance, we offer several forms of financing for dental treatment plans. Having periodontal treatment now may be less expensive than replacing a tooth lost to disease.
